From November10 to November 14, 2008, members of the Tactical Training Unit of the New York Police Department attended the F.I.G.H.T. Instructor Certification Course.
Mike Kanarek is a maelstrom of instructional intensity. Each day of training under his tutelage brought a standing ovation. He is that good.
In the coming months, the Tactical Training Unit will be revising its curriculum to incorporate many of the techniques taught during F.I.G.H.T. into the courses it offers to in-service personnel.
